You may access your Bear Number on this page provided you have the following information:

  • Social Security Number
  • Birthdate

Note: Newly admitted students can access their Bear Number on their application portal.

If you do not have a Social Security Number or if a Bear Number was never assigned to you, please contact the Office of the Registrar at (970) 351-2231 for assistance Monday–Friday 8am–5pm.

* Your Bear Number is a unique number that identifies you as a member of the UNC community, and it is used to identify you in UNC computer systems. Your bear number never changes and is never reissued. A nine-digit Bear Number will be assigned to you when you are admitted to the University as a student or become an employee of the University.

This is the University of Northern Colorado's (UNC) computer infrastructure. These resources, including all related equipment, networks, and network devices, are provided for authorized UNC use only. UNC computer systems may be monitored for official purposes.

Use of UNC's computing infrastructure, authorized or unauthorized, constitutes consent to this policy and the policies and procedures set forth by UNC.
